How does our portable security system work?
There are four key ways in which our rapid deployment camera system works:
GSM
Similar to a mobile phone this portable security system uses GSM mobile networks to transmit images via satellite without the need for any cabling.
Our preferred service provider is Orange UK due to their high speed data capability, however, cellular GSM networks can provide coverage in over 130 countries world-wide.
ISDN
Like GSM, ISDN uses an existing telephone network. The difference is that ISDN transfers the data much quicker and therefore can be more cost effective.
ADSL
ADSL uses existing telephone lines to transmit data at high speed across the public Internet. All data transmitted using ADSL based transmissions is encrypted. Encryption systems are used to protect the privacy, the integrity, and the authenticity of the data transited.
ADSL systems have the added benefit of GSM back-up for guaranteed service.
Wired and Wireless IP Networks
Wired Local Area Networks (LAN) and Wide Area Networks (WAN) can be utilised to transmit portable security system data. Cameras can be deployed and re-deployed anywhere where there is network connectivity. IP Networks offer very high data transmission rates and multiple systems can be deployed across existing networks.
Wireless networks can be implemented as standalone solutions or they can be used to extend or bridge the reach of existing wired networks. Wireless Networks can be installed to connect locations permanent or temporary basis.
