Optimum security
Although the primary objective is to prevent a breach of security, if an incident does occur the high standard of our security equipment offers two key advantages:
- Police graded response to any security incident
- Security cameras and video surveillance that provide evidential quality reproduction for use in court or for litigation purposes
Security accreditations
At GSS we comply with:
- BS8418 :2003 – Installation and Remote Monitoring of detector activated CCTV Code of Practice. This sets the standards on the design, installation, commissioning, operation and remote monitoring of detector activated CCTV systems.
- The appendix to the Association of Chief Police Officers Security Systems Policy, announced in October 2003. Allowing our detector activated systems to apply for a Unique Reference No. (URN), which is required to initiate a police graded response to security incidents.
High standard video surveillance recordings provide evidential quality reproduction for court or litigation purposes. The security system is also capable of sending images from the site, on alert, via text message or email to enable appropriate action and response.
We have the following endorsements:
- Members of the British Security Industry Association
- SSAIB (Security Systems Accreditation Installation Board (UKAS Approved)) accreditation in compliance with BSEN ISO 9001:2000
- BS5979 and BSDD243 remote monitoring and signal transmission
- Currently applying for National Security Inspectorate approval
“The BSIA is about standards or it is about nothing. We therefore strongly support members like GSS whose quest for ever higher standards is evident in everything they do.
